Development LC Member Biographies
|
The
Marina condominium is owned by Prime
Dunedin LC and managed by highly
experienced professionals. Jim Egnew, Bill
Kimpton and Richard Gehring have developed
numerous real estate projects for more than
30 years. They have invested personal equity
in the Marina. Over the past five years
this team has developed real estate projects
in Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Jim
Egnew, Managing Member;
provides day-to-day management of the Marina
project. Since 1988, he has been a principal
of Prime Interests Inc., a development management
firm providing contract services to large
property owners, ports in particular. His
primary role has been as the hands on manager
of large development projects. Jim has over
30 years experience as a residential and
commercial developer. He was formerly a
Division President of US Home, where he
developed production single family and condominium
projects in Florida, Arizona and Louisiana.
He was also the Senior Vice President and
a Director of Dusco, the U.S. arm of the
Australian developer, Lend Lease. With Lend
Lease he developed luxury condominiums and
shopping malls in seven states. His education
is in architecture and finance, with degrees
from Ohio State and the University of South
Florida.

Bill
Kimpton
is active in arranging project financing for
the Marina. Bill is principal of Kimpton,
Burke & Bobenhausen PA, of Clearwater
FL. His practice area is real estate transactional
law. Bill’s thirty years of legal practice
have made him a well-known and respected figure
in the North Pinellas county real estate and
banking circles. Over the years, he has represented
thousands of owners and lenders in large and
small transactions. He has also been a very
active investor, organizing the acquisition
and financing of numerous development projects
in Florida, Michigan, Tennessee and North
Carolina for his many partners. Bill did his
undergraduate work at Eastern Michigan University
and is a graduate of Duke University School
of Law.

Richard
Gehring
is active in the design development and regulatory
approval process of the Marina. Since 1988,
he has been a principal of Prime Interests
Inc., a development management firm providing
contract services to large property owners,
ports in particular. His primary role has
been in planning and approvals of large development
projects. In addition, Richard has served
in numerous civic roles, including Mayor of
Dunedin and as Chair of both the Board of
Finance and the Inclusion Committee. Previously,
Richard has been President of Tampa Palms
Development Corp., District Director of Post
Buckley Schuh and Jernigan Engineers, City
Manager and Planning Director for the City
of Dunedin. His educational background is
in architecture and city planning, at Florida
and the University of Virginia.
